Have you heard of Ben Krasnow? He is the guy who made an electron microscope in his garage a while back. He just made a CT scanner with an x-ray tube from eBay and a rotating platform which was driven, get this, by an open source stepper motor driver kit which I sell; the Linistepper! How cool is that! It's clearly visible in the video at 3:43:

Sadly, he totally left the name of the driver out of his description, but you can do me a huge favor by scrolling down in the comments, finding my comment, which starts with "The stepper motor driver used is a Linistepper" and giving it a thumbs up so it will remain visible near the top.
