    not bad...

So after buying and using the 1st gen NextEngine... I can say the upgrade to the Pro was definitely worth it. I think it's a good entry level scanner, but if you are looking for really fine detail work, this may not cut it...

the laser tends to be noisy in it's data capturing. So surface prep and ambient light control IMO are a must.
The automation of it's turntable is great.

So, figure out what you need to scan. Small - medium sized objects with smooth not too detailed surfaces??? great

small detailed intricate works: not bad, but could be much better
