    Engraving and Cutting Leather

I have been researching a machine to cut and engrave leather. I am leaning towards a Shenhui or GWeike machine with an 80w RECI tube. I haven't decided on size yet, but I was considering something between 600X400mm and 900X600mm.

I would just like input on any upgrades or suggestions on lasers.

    I think I am going with a 900mmX600mm machine.

What is the difference between the N and stand model?

    Kcinnick,
the biggest diffrence between LG900N&LG900,except its appearence ,the N standard configuration with motorised up&down, but only 20cm ,while the nonrmal one Motorised Z is optional choice, but can reach 40cm

    Hi Kcinnick,
G.Weike is the machine you want. Were you planning on importing your
machine or purchasing from a distributor here in the USA?

RECI is not best choice for engraving.

Yes, Reci tubes are all 80W+.

In fact, the best engraving power is 30W-60W.

While Reci W2's engraving result is Ok. That depends on your work, if you want to have very very high demand for engraving, as small letters engraving or photo engraving, Reci is not so suggested.

    Reci' cutting is good.

    Hi Kcinnick ,
To cut and engrave leather ,RECI 80W is a good choice indeed as you considering . Well 6090 type is better than 6040 as it gives a feeling of crowed and narrow . Anyhow ,custmers can choose according to their needs if their materials are not so large . By the way , Exlas 6090 can be another choice .

I am hoping the laser can replace clicker dies so I don't have to get one made up every time I need a new pattern. I do want to engrave leather, but I am not going to be putting high detail photos, it will be basic logo graphics.
