    i have a guy who sent me files that where made in visualcam that are VCP i can not open them in cad to cut them out for him. any idea how i can do this?

    Tell him to send you a CAD file.
    A very slim possibility for you. If he has made a full 3D render, he can export a STL file, IF he has the PRO version (typically used for a stock model). I wouldn't hold my breath for this being any good.
    VisualMill is not CAD software, It is CAM software.
    You could have him send you a sketch and you can make your own CAD OR you could buy VisualMill.
