    new to this site and to cnc milling

    Hi guys

    i have just got a emco VMC-100 cnc milling M/C

    need help in which is the best and easy software to use

    M/C users G code and M codes

    New to CNC

    It might help to know if this is for hobby use, commercial etc. Also 2d or 3d and what type of parts are you wishing to cut (give examples or drawings).

    There are many good CAD and CAM programs available,but cost and type of machine work must be considered in the answer.

    Hi John

    its just for hobby use

    i have never used any thing like this before, i am wanting to mill out ali to make engine mounts for my model boats

    As far as programs, suggest cambam at CamBam CNC Software . There is a trail full version that after 30 days becomes limited and an old free version (bottom of the page). You can use a program like cncsimulator.com (free also) to check your code. To communicate the program to the mill ( if rs232 is available) you might look at cadem.com . Cadem-lite is a free software for downloading to some machines.
