What about the PMC?
Do you have the software?

I have ladder III, but I have not tryed to use it yet.
Will this program work for the 18M?
Haven't used it. I still have the old Fanuc Fapt unit.

Is it a stand alone unit or is it old software on a laptop?
Its the Fanuc 'suitcase' FAPT unit.

Thanks for all the information.
I have one more question tho.
The 18M that I have (along with 3 servo's and drives) was from a 3 axis drilling machine.
Now I have a 3 axis milling machine with removable rotary table, so I wanted to get another fanuc servo and drive to run the table with.
Will the 18M be able to run all 4 axis as is (mabey a option code?) or do I need another add on module to run all the axis.
The manuals make it look like I need something else to run them all at once, but I can't tell if its a option parameter or a add on module.
Thanks
Dave
You may have four axis, check the card with the servo cables and see if there is a fourth not in use.
You will need a drive for it of course.

I was just thinking that I might have to change the servo PID settings for a different sized machine...
Is this doable from the 18M controller? Or do I need some other software?
It there a manual for servo tuning?
Thanks
