It would be neat to see somebody mill a pumpkin... Anyone given this a try?
Perhaps this could even be a sellable item? It would blow most hand carved pumpkins out of the water... Just an idea.

I thought I was the only one who had that random thought. Can't we offer a challenge out there, even IF Halloween is tomorrow. Come-on there have to be a few freaks willing to try it. Too bad I am waiting on the new head for my plasma cutter

I'm IN!
How about some funny movies of tools plunging into pumpkins at full rapid!
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.
(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)
I HAD a link to laser carved pumpkins at some festival somewhere. They looked really cool. But still not the same as when a REAL artist does the same thing freehand.
Me - I'm no artist so I would cheat and use CNC

I'm having issues with the plasma arc starting.
The ground clamp is firmly attached as shown in the photo.
Perhaps the metallic orange paint is not a suitable conductor.
I may have to use a CNC (Carved by Nife Contribution) Halloween pumpkin this year
I love it!!!!!! Keep 'em coming

You might get the arc started if you shove a wire into the pumpkin to use as a ground.
Please video tape the effort and no, I will not pay for the cleanup!

I can't believe you blokes are having a go at this...this is hilarious...pi*sed myself laughing! I don't have a mill yet but am sure I could do some freaky things to a carrot on my lathe!
How about CNC milling turkey for thanksgiving?
Use the latest version of turkeycam.

Not trying to steal a thread here, but would be interesting to find out some of the weirdest things people have machined.
Might be good for a laugh!
