Hello guys!
I have primus 2 cnc turning machine with controller sinumerik 3t…
If I change a tool, the turret turns only in one direction. Can I choose the direction? Or does the controller choose the shortest way?

Hello guys!
It is possible to choose the direction of turret turning, isn’t it????
Thanks!
Hello realstyler!
I’m almost sure that the controller chooses the shortest way itself. If it’s not desired, you have to program a whistle stop. Then it will be first turned to the whistle stop, and then to the end position. And a minimal traverse path between them.

Es geht nicht nebeneinander, schon gar nicht gegeneinander,
es geht nur miteinander.
I believe it depends on the machine.
I personally know only that the shortest way is chosen. But I have experience only with 2 or 3 turning lathes.
Thanks for your help!
But my problem is that the turret turns only in one direction. Doesn’t matter which tool I choose…

Bidirectional turning is possible only with machines of new generation.
The old Siemens can’t do that.
