    Hello everybody
We’re going to machine parts from 1.4980 (high temperature-resistant).
    Turning, milling, drilling, thread milling.

Who’s got experience with this material?

    We’re interested in:

What cutting inserts did you use?
What section meters / feeds did you move?
    What borers are considered?
    Etc.

    Hello Speedy1

I recently chipped “your” material at our BAZ.

I used cutters from Fraisa, VHM roughing cutter SX-FP with 12mm diameter.

    I moved vc=25m/min with ap=13mm ae=9mm. Fz 0,03.

I made my bores of D=8mm with VHM Spibo with IKZ.

    Drilling depth 25mm, Vc= 30m/min.

It went very well but I wouldn’t like to make it always.

    Regards, Klaus
