    Jrmach,

Unfortunately the fillet feature isn't working correct with me but it could be my geometry on the part i am workign with...it works fine in V25 though

....the same part in V25 goes with out a hitch...but in V27...it will hollow out the inside but does fillet the edges correct...

once you create the solid ...you can right click it in the cam tree and roll back...edit in parametric and or suppress...when you suppress the solid it takes it back to the original 2d geometry and from there you can edit the geo or add to it and rebuild to generate new solid form! WITH EASE!!!!

    Re: I got V27! TODAY!

okay..only issue i have is...and I have tested to see if it would duplicate and it did!

if you pull a older version file up and use it in V27 and I assume clicking "rebuild" does this...it saves the freaking thing in the same directory the file was pulled from as a V27 version...so no older versions will open it...this is BAD BAD BAD!!!! I did NOT choose to save the file it did it on its own! WTH! So now the V25 file can not be opened up in V25 or modified.... so if this happens on a very detailed part...you are screwed! There is no way to revert it or recover...

surely this cant be the way it is designed....anyone opening up a older file version and then clicking rebuild in V27 will be stuck with that part in V27 from that point forward....

    UPDATE***

I think what is causing this is at random on my computer the save file window will appear and ask me to save or cancel. i click cancel , because i do not wish to save i just want the window to go away and the file is saved anyway over writing the previous version int he same directory.

    Ticket submitted and reported..

    UPDATE 2

Bobcad tech support informed me that checking the "Auto Save" in defaults will cause this...so i unchecked it and is shouldn't happen again. I checked it thinking it would save the file in my back up folder on my c drive...

You should only open "copy" of the earlier version file in the newer version.Learned that lesson many times over years ago.

so you had a new version save the older file to the new file also? AUTOMATICALLY?

I had a copy so i caught it but it should not save it for me...i never clicked on save at all.. it just did it....

    Re: I got V27! TODAY!

okay so the little cube icon fillet feature is working nice...and after the fillet was put around it...i went back to the body and went into edit so i could scale the solid parametrically and then hit OK and the body solid update along with the fillet to a small thickness just like it should...NICE!

The surface fillets work pretty good also....dont know how detailed yours are needed JRmach...but it all works good for me...there are a ton of options now...

AGAIN...i cant express the joy of being able to turn on and off geometry. The fillet can be suppressed.....it will take it away from view and leave what was there before the fillet).

guys ...this V27 is just leaps and bounds beyond all other versions...and I will go ahead and say that the other software makers will be surprised....this stuff is STRONG!

when you 3 d guys see what you can do with this parametric software now ("dynamic objects" ) it will blow your mind for what they charge for it. unreal.

yes i have experience with creo 2.0 and SW... Bobcad has just took the things that are difficult in or harder to do in those and made it suuuper easy.:banana::banana::banana::banana::bana na::banana:

This is very exciting! I can't wait to wring it out. The 3D CAM also looks much improved on top of all the new CAD features.
