    Questions

Hi everyone what an excellent site. I was wodnering anyone had a link to a place were they sell those black chain like structures where you pass cables through them and they dotn get tangled in your machine...they look like big black bicycle chains. If anyone can get a link i would appreciate that.

My second quesiton is if it worth getting a controller for my router...or should i get an adjustable router?

Also what router would you recomend for cutting aluminum and carbon fiber and lexan and plastic?

and also does a system with 2 lead screws help in anythign or jsut go with one lead screw for the x-axis soem othe person one htis forum did 2 lead screws in on the x-axis and if there is any advantage.

Thank you for all your help I am going to be building a CNC router soon!

    Hi,

    Try http://www.igus.com/echain.htm for e-chain.

For a router I would recommend a Porter-Cable 3.25HP variable speed router. That's the router most commercial router tables use. I have used one for 10 years now (not the same one, but the same model) on several different tables. I use a Bosch 1617EVS 2.25HP router on my homemade 2x2 table to cut 1/2" aluminum, but I have a Porter-Cable to put on my 4x8 when it's finished.

Also look at the new PC 892 2 1/4 hp variable speed. More power than the old 690, and much lighter than the7518 mentioned above.
