    2000mw laser from China

Hi I purchased a 2000mw laser engraver from china. It came with no Instructions at all. I have been searching the Internet on how to easily create a file for laser engraving, I can manually use the laser but am now stuck, my research has led me to believe that I need to create a .cn file. from a vector image. It would be great to have a program to complete the process easily, where do I start? All help is greatly appreciated. Stu Am willing to learn

I was informed by the supplier that GRBL software will work which I have downloaded, they informed me that I only need to use a JPEG which is obviously wrong.

Inkscape with add-ins (might be native now) can generate gcode files from drawings

There is a free software package called Cambam (windows) that can do a lot, I use it to do drawings and such and generate gcode for my cnc router. There is a paid version too (40 free sessions) but the older free version works just fine for me. CamBam CNC Software - Downloads It takes a bit of learning to figure out but there are some tutorials and a forum.

Hello, where did you purchase your machine from, all I can find are 500mW machines. I am looking for a 1500-2000 machine that can use gcode files.
