    6040 upgrade spindel

    Hi all, I have a 6040 Chinese cnc router with a 1.5kw spindle @110V, I would like to upgrade to a 2.2 kw @110V, 1- do I have to upgrade the spindle mount 2- can I use the VFD from the 1.5kw spindle

    1. Not if the new Spindle is the same diameter as the old Spindle.
    2. Yes, as long as the VFD is RATED up to 2.2kW or HIGHER. You will have to change the parameter for the Spindle rating.
