Unhappy Is possible to run full 3D on a Sabre 408 with Enorute 3.4 Software?? need help

    Hi,

I´m very new on this community...

I trying to comunicate a Enroute software v3.4, with a 6 years old Gerber sabre 408... the machine have a g-code option (or its appear on the panel, i put put the machine with this option on)... I want to comunicate this machine with Enroute software to create full 3D works... when i send a job, the machine receive a job, but after, return an error ""Error: Plot Data Command", i know that is an command error, but this command is create by Enroute Software"

    Somebody, now whats happenning???

    My serial port configuration is:
    - Bits per seconds: 9600
    - Data Bits: 8
    - Parity: Even
    - Stop Bit: 1
    - Flow control: None

But i think that the trouble came from Enroute, that generate an invalid code... Somebody know an special configuration on Enroute to work with Sabre 408???

What level of EnRoute do you have ? Only EnRoute Pro outputs true 3D . Your control is not capeable of true 3D. True 3D is when the machine control can move all 3 axis at the same time . That's not going to happen on a Gerber.

and the machine return to me a message "Error: Plot Data Command"
If you see the second line "M98 0.4724" M98 is not a legal command (or i dont know this command) must to be a M90 - Program start... Tha case is that enroute allways send this cammand

I am installing EnRoute Pro 4.0 tomorrow. I'll get back to you then. Are you sure that Gerber can receive g-code ? Some of those machines were set up to use Artcam files and plotter files only.

Ok. EnRoute Pro 4.0 posts the same way. M98 means its calling for a subroutine. That means it needs a custom subroutine immediately. That sub routine is probably something that Gerber has only. It doesn't look like you will be able to post directly to the machine. You might want to call Gerber and ask. Normally, Gerber routers accept AL,EPS,DXF and HPGL file extensions. EnRoute's extension is .cnc for Gerber machines. That subroutine probably calls up Gerber's Artpath program to read the g-code. It's not EnRoute's problem, it's your control...I think.

    Thanks a lot...

I apreciate your help... Then, I will need to buy a new Gerber main board, a update with new firmware, to work with Enroute PRO 3.4,

Do you have a M98 command, documented??? I never seen before that command....!!!!

    Thank you very much...

I looked it up on the Camsoft cnc controls site: www.camsoftcorp.com Sorry, I forgot how to hot link the site. I also researched your machine on the Gerber site .
