    Motion system CNC DIY

    Hello to all,

My question is this. For a cnc routing system, I am thinking of using R&P motion for the x and y. Do you guys also sugggest that also for the z or screw method for that? The table cutting area will be at least 5x10 feet, so R&P should be fine for that, or should I use a belt drive? Which is more accurate and has less backlash? I will also adopt this sysetem with an afforable laser system such as a glass co2 laser, dont have enough for the RF lasers...

Anybody recomend a good source for R&P and Belt Drive?

    Thanks.

    Hi there,
I'm a salesman for Moore Gear. We keep gear racks in stock (4', 6', or 12' lengths). I should be able to find you a pinion on our floor as well if you and flexible with your setup. If you want to get fancy we can make you custom helical gears and racks, but these are more pricey.
