    need help/info ....

    Hello everybody, I have this lathe and it has no name on it. Any help i could get to make this little gem work would be greatly appreciated.. I am new to metalworking. Thanks all...

    Job to tell details, but it looks a bit like a very basic home built. It looks like you will need a spindle motor for a start, how are the cross slide and saddle moved right now? does it have acme screws etc, as I don't see any handwheels. a few more close up photo's may make it clearer

    What is that lever on the z-axis for? Looks like you move the carriage by hand, then use that to lock it position? If so, you should really hook up some sort of leadscrew to do some safe cutting. I hope I am wrong though

    looks like the lever is the crossfeed mechanism similiar to the hardinge second op bench lathe. no feedscrews to speak of. Probably specificly designed for a drilling and parting off operation only
