    ASAP Help or Advice.

I am looking at buying this mill on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Bridgeport-Serie...3286.m14.l1318
the sale ends in roughly 4 hours June 15th, 2008 at 1600 PST. I would like input on what anybody thinks.

I would like to know how much you think this machine is worth.

    Thank you,
    Bradly

Depends on what your willing to pay.
Last time I bought a used Bridgeport manual mill I paid $5k back in 1998
Just guessing the machine looks clean and ways are scraped add the cnc servo system plus what it's going to cost you to get it delivered and hooked up.
I would pay about $8k-$12k right now with the market for used machines what it is.
    Nice range huh
Then again the machine can pay for itself with 1 good job!
    Good luck

The machine looks in nice condition.

But and its a big but two axis machine not really CNC by today's standards

You would have to put on a Z axis that would mean a new controller/electronics of some sort probably to run three axis.

Then the new controller may not work easy with those motors

So a thumbs down from me, but i have no idea of machine value in the USA

You can get a nice used Bridgeport milling machine in NE Ohio without the CNC for 4k with ballscrews. I wouldn't pay a penny more, I would look for one around 3K and put a 3 axis retro on it.
