    G64 question

Yeah, it's me again! I have the plasma running quite well, actually, until I hit an ellipse in the shape I am cutting. Lots of small, jerky steps. I tried putting G64 in the first line without a P- variable and I tried it with a P2 variable. I really couldn't tell any difference. I would like to see a nice, smooth output even if it is at the expense of some accuracy. Thanks for all your help in this adventure!

There has been a change to the development version of emc that adds arc combining.. The released version only combines line segments that are within the Px.xxxx.

If you want to try it - you can get the development version (called trunk) to test it out.

you would need to follow these directions..

AFAIK you will need the TRUNK version to take advantage of the latest improvements in the naive-cam detector for arcs.

    Instructions are here.

I do the run in place and point my desk top shortcut to the trunk version. If you need any help with this just holler...
