    Vancouver area meet and great?

    Hello all,
I am just wondering what the interest would be in getting together to meet. I am thinking maybe a nice pub or restaurant, suggestions? Maybe a place with a nice patio enjoy this summer season.

Sounds Good a patio in Kits maybe where the scenery is sure to impress!!!!! If the conversation lags, we can just stare at the passers by!

Munich is pretty wicked as the patios just spill out into the streets with no fences and the americans stare at you when you have a half litre of Hefeweizen and some sausage fro breakfast!

Two of the major food groups; cereals and meat. Nothing wrong with that as a breakfast; although not being meat eater I would just stick with the cereal.

How about making your get together a barbeque or something like that at one of the GVRD Regional Parks? I think it is possible to reserve picnic areas for groups.

Okay, let's tie something down with dates.

I did this for a dinner before WESTEC and it worked, several people turned up and we had a very pleasant evening.

I suggest Campbell Valley Regional Park, September 28, which is a Sunday. It is possible to prebook a group picnic site which I will do. Starting time could be 11:00 am or so and go through into the late afternoon.

I believe that there are facilities for a barbeque at these sites but if necessary I can arrange to bring a barbeque. Alternatively people could just bring some prepared dishes to share.

I can bring at least one 10' by 20' canopy in case the weather is not good.

Family members, 'significant others' (must be politically correct), spouses, wifes, husbands, children, ?, ?, ?, can be included.

The only reason I suggest a date late in September is that I am selfish; I have business commitments in July and August and a vacation starting in August and running into early September.

I will mark it in my calendar. Are you headed to IMTS Geof? I'll be there hopefully in early september.

Where abouts is that park? Not familiar with it.

If that's too long to wait aut, we could go for a pint or 8 before then as well.

    A CNC help group perhaps?

IMTS, No, I don't want to be conned into buying more machines

Campbell Valley is in Surrey, between 4th Avenue and 16th Avenue at 200and something Street.

If you want to do something before then we can always arrange a dinner some evening. The thing is finding a location convenient to several people; make some suggestions.

    Suggest a selection of dates.

Andale's? Never been there. As for dates say in a few weeks? First week of Aug. maybe?
As for the BBQ in Sept. that time frame sounds good to me. Geof I think that park would be in langley if its at those cross streets. Thats pretty much at the US border. I can bring in a portable BBQ and table. What would be a good menu?

MMMM Andale's graet mexican food. I sent a contractor from Texas there as he was interested in Mexican food and he swore it was the most authentic he'd had outside of Texas!
