Need engineer for pulley ratio for bandsaw.

motor rpm x motor pulley dia./ driven pulley dia. x bandsaw wheel dia. x 3.1416 / 12 = sfpm is this correct? I found a Atlas 912 bandsaw in almost mint condition and would like to use it for metal. Only paid $25
Motor= 1725rpm. w/ 2" pulley turning 10"pulley and the saw has 12" wheels inside. Should be 1083.8 sfpm. Will use a jackshaft with a 7" pulley to reduce to 154.8 sfpm. Or am I missing something?

If you are replaceing the 12inch pulley with the 7inch you will speed the saw blade to 1548 fpm from 1084 fpm
    If you use a jackshaft with a 2inch and a 7inch pulley (2*2/7*10=17.5)or a ratio of 3.5*5=17.5
    1725/17.5*3.1416fpr=310fpm blade speed
maybe someone else can give you abetter answer.

    good luck
