    Centroid m400s question

I bought a new knee mill with a centroid m400 control on it. The cutter comp. in the control is turned off. How do I turn it on? Also If I am going to use a cad/cam system to program my parts should the cutter comp. be turned on or off?

Cutter comp is an option you have to buy from Centroid There is a page in the control screen that list what options are active in your control I can't rememeber exactly how to navigate to it so if you can't find it post back and I will look

I use the "computer" comp option in Mastercam when cad programming where the toolpath takes the dia. listed in the toolpath page and ignores the tool register value at the machine but I understand a lot of guys use "wear" that needs a dia. value in the tool register at the machine

I solved my problem. My dealer only gave me the parameter and value for the permanat unlock. My demo ran out yesterday and then all of my options were off. But the machine unlocks were in. It turns out that the dealer has to give you the parameters and values for all the options that you buy. And you have to put them in along with the permanat unlock. I did this last night and now everything works. thanks for the reply.
