    M129, M128

    Well when I came to this shop they use a m129 for tapping not really I'm not to sure never did much tapping before and now I need to tap a left hand and not sure if I would just program with a M4 insted of a M3 or some thing else.

    When I looked in the fanuc book It looked like you use M29 so I don't know what to think

    machine is a KIA 21 with a fanuc with an oi-tb

    Nay help would be great

    M-code usually controls a machine feature ( coolant, tailstock etc.)
    A cycle is what you would need ( G-code)
    the g-code would control the spindle direction

    G84 = R/H tapping
    G74 = L/H tapping
    The M29 may control the syncronising of the axes to the spindle ( couldn't find anything on M129 )
