    yes, looks like laser welding?

we get some of our molds / cavities repaired this way when the cost of remaking is too high, and then remachine the welded features

    tig welded

Actually everything except for the copper was tig welded, which is more less exspensive than using the laser.

    thanks

    Hows the mold repair business?

Just wondering how the mold repair business is in your area. Kind of slow here. But fortunately we have UPS deliveries everyday from all over the country. Thank god for next day air.

    Thanks

From one welder to another, That's some beautiful work. I have a repair to do on a very small mold insert. is has a .1250 reamed hole about .030 from the edge and a small piece got hit off the web. Any tips? I have a Syncrowave 250 DX. Perhaps brown tung. sharpened really sharp. AC bal. turned down. turn down the big knob to the bottom?

    Faster and better precision

Just faster and more precision than tig.
