5 Axis CNC in Perth, WA

Hi all. I need to contract a 5 axis cnc owner to machine a number of parts for me from PIR or PUR foam. I am fully aware of the costs associated, but I am trying to research my options.

Can anyone name some businesses with one of these (I understand that most 5 axis Thermwoods in Perth have made their way into the sign market - eg: Superline Plastics)?

And more importantly, if anyone has had any previous dealings with these companies / people.

    Thanks in advance.

(And thanks for listening to a first time CNC poster!)

    Hi Gary,

    Thanks for the info.

I actually visited the Thermwood at Superline last month as I was looking at purchasing such a machine myself. Their machine is quite old, and probably wasn't the best example to use to try and sell me one.

I am talking with Glen Swarbrick at Swarbrick Yachts about using their 5 axis Thermwood. The benefit of this is that their machine runs off RhinoCAD, and can read my .dxf surface models without having to change formats and run the risk of errors occuring. At $1,500 per square metre of surface area, my project is likely to cost me some $30k just to produce the models, so cost is something that I must consider.

Do you have the contact number for the guys in Cockburn?

    Thanks again for your help.

    To all forum members,

It would appear that open forums are not a place that you can just freely air opinions nor experiences related to the questions members may post. I have recieved a letter from solicitors requesting that i retract my comments to the previous posting pertaining to members of my previous employer. It would also appear that i may have been incorrect in commenting about the qualifications the aforementioned persons have as to my understanding due to the correction in the letter, they are now more than capable to assist in any 5 Axis Thermwood Model 67 enquiries you all may have.

I hereby apoligise for my comments to be not true and unjustified. I request that my posting be removed so no further "harm" be directed to the persons in question.

This is as far as i will go with this matter as i will no longer comment nor share my experiences with the initial question nor similar future listings.
