Hi all, i just got a new technology 80w Chinese co2 laser tube , this is a chinese clone to GSI England tube. The tube is amazing, and realy have 8000-10000 hours lifepan, perfect bean profile.
For wile they have only 80W - 100W and 130W . The tubes is shorter than regular tube but with a larger diameter, for ex. my 80w have 1050mm x 100mm.

Very interesting, and it arrived in one piece, not broken.

How does the price compare to the standard 80w tube? And who did you buy this from?

    Thanks

    Just to share the information:
I got the price of 110w tube from GSI group, the tube is so expensive same as Parallax tubes or may be more!! it is around (US$ 5000)

Note: No 80w tube produced anymore within GSI group. Form where you get yours "Oneeye"?

    Need help:
    Actually, I am looking for a good 80w tube. My budget around US$ 2000 - 2500

LOL.. I swear.. "not broken", seems to me that the Chinese tube people can make about half the tubes pre-broken and ship them anyway, as it seems to be standard to get at least one or two broken before you get a working one.

This looks like that one, there, even the yellow tape on the shipping box looks the same .. ;-)

    Good find!!

    They mention on this page:
    http://www.recilaser.com/ny.asp?whic...BF%B1%A3%D6%A4

    "9. Product quality standard:
The rated power output of LA11 is 80 watt, and the maximum power output is over 85 watt
    ."

Now we have to get a price for an LA11. Anyone care to guess?

I have the 100W version of that, I don't want to get into prices, though. I didn't buy it directly, it came from a US vendor. I had no clue when I ordered it, about dealing with China, which one to get, etc. In the nearly four months this whole debacle lasted, I've learned way more than I imagined about this stuff.

It was larger in diameter, than my rings. Luckily, I had cardboard tubes that were the same diameter so I was able to do all the cutting of plastic and the like without the glass tube present.

However, right when I was lifting it into the rings for what would be the final time, an earthquake hit and here I am laying on the floor with a laser tube, behind the cutting table. I did have foam and bubble wrap all around, and was able to expediently ditch the thing under the frame and get out of the building.. (In my installation, the thing mounts on the underside of the table)

Your laser setup is, as we say here in the PA woods, slicker than deer guts on a door knob. Nice video and pics.

It will be interesting to see what these tubes cost, and if they can be bought direct. Maybe they only sell them through distributors. Time will tell.

    Thanks

Actually, I'm curious what the inner diameter of the water inlet is on that tube, as that is my only complaint. .016 is just nuts, especially when they want you to push 2-5 LPM through that thing. I really desired to to have the flow switch at the output end of the tube that way it's guarding the whole system, after doing all I can to get to even flow enough to let the switch work at .5 GPM (just below 2 LPM), the only place I can place it is right at the inlet of the tube, though if anything happens after that point I'll either hear it (water from the outlet going on the floor) or the tube does something internal in which case it means SOL anyway. Judging from that picture, the inlet appears to be about the same. They call for .25 inner diameter tubing, but I had to use much larger all the way to the tube to get it to move that fast. Just to cram it down to that small size at the inlet. Even the glass loop inside is larger than that. Maybe thats their version of a regulator so you can't go too fast..

I have 5/8 tubing for the 4 feet from the sump to the 6 inches from the tube inlet, the flow switch is there and that is .25" fittings, which then go down to the .16, and the output from the tube is the same, but I have just .25 surgical tubing stuck on there because it fits without leaking, and can be gotten off easily. Thats just about 18" back into the sump, with the end just under the surface so that no bubbles form.

Oh, .160" not .016" like you first wrote, that's a little better but still small.

I replaced all of my hard plastic water lines with surgical tubing. It's much easier to work with.

Looks like Oneeye did a "runner"! Left us with some "teezer" info but left out the most important bits then doesn't check his thread nor his email nor his pm's. Hmmm!
