Does this sound like a brush fell?? Can I fix it myself?

Also how do I get the grey leads off the motor when they go deep into the casing?

It does sound like you have bad bearings, about grey leap, I dont know.
I looks like you have a really, really, ....really, old MTR-0002..... and unless you have time to mess around with down time, we have remanufactured units on the shelf for under $900 and 90 day warranty.
On the other hand, I am happy to help you repair it yourself. Just give me a call as soon as you have a minute and I will walk you through the disassembly and how to fix that old thing!!

Anytime I can help is a good day for me.
Thanks,

Yeah that one was a 4050 motor...We rebuilt two of them for $120. I may have three more to rebuild though.
