    x axis problems

I am not sure where the problem is occuring, but for some reason my 2 x axis motors spin at different rates when I either press the jog button in Mach 3 or try to run some simple G-code.

anyone have any ideas where so start looking? here is a list of stuff I have already tried

-copied all of the parameters in the GDTool to both drives. Everything is set the same
-In Mach 3 I made sure the motor tuning section both were set the same
-In Mach 3 the X and A are slaved together
    -Checked all the connections

both servos are 1125 in oz motors, with 5 to 1 Thompson Duratrue planetary gearboxes
Us Digital encoders with 1250 CPR
both servos are running off of a 1000 w 80 vdc power supply

Is it possible that the slower spinning servo is loosing steps?

    Thanks for the help

That is possible. Do slower motor change if you switch motor & encoder cables between drives?

Here is a firmware upgrade (pre-release) to VSD-E that enhances encoder noise filtering. Remember to backup drive settings and restore them after upgrade.

    SOS

I was having pretty bad comm errors also, could not connect , had problems with startup mode , etc. so i tried the 204 firmware update. Now it all updated fine , but i just get a blinking green signal no matter how i set in3 and in4 . ? how do I reset ?

I can still reconnect in spishell , get status (40 errors) and readencoder.

I repeated flash job several times with different laptops , active usb ext cable , ferrite on usb cable , all other noise sources off.

    help.

radiantheat, during upgrade all drive settings are reset to factory defaults. You just need to configure all settings again like you did on very first time you got the dirive (unless you saved settings to file before upgrade).

I flashed all 4 of my drives, it appears that everything is working.
