Great price on the web page, but when you consider that the DRO stops working 12days short of the 1 year warranty and they find excuses as to why they will not honor the warranty----NOT REALLY.

Don't know about that.
We have close to 3 years on ours with no issues.
I could have spent $3000 more on a "name" brand system (Big mill - 3 axis)

Response from DRO PROS:
Nick Rapallo purchased a 2 axis mill DRO kit from us on 1/31/12 for $579. Soon after ordering, he decided he wanted a larger scale for his Y axis. Rather than sending us the scale first, and allowing us to exchange it (which we recommended he do), Mr. Rapallo bought a new scale outright for $206 on 2/9/12. We agreed that upon receiving the old scale (which he assured us was pristine) that we would refund the entire $206 (we agreed to refund the cost of the scale $156 + the shipping charge of $50 and waive the restock fee entirely). After receiving the scale, it was clear to us the scale had been mounted, and therefore could not be resold, and therefore was not eligible for credit. At this point, Mr. Rapallo filed a PayPal dispute for $579, the original, full price of the entire DRO kit he bought on 1/31. Eleven months later, he contacted us wanting to know if the warranty was still valid for a kit he never paid for. Not surprisingly, if you don't pay for your kit, we are not going to honor the warranty. So that's the part that Mr. Rapallo left out. (sidenote: When our salesman asked what was wrong with the kit, he was evasive and just wanted to know if it was still under warranty. So it's doubtful there's anything even wrong with it).

The fact of the matter is that DRO PROS has the industries longest, and most inclusive six year warranty for our magnetic kits, and up to a 3 year warranty on our glass kits. Over the years, we have many times fixed customers displays for free, even when they have gone out of warranty. And we would like to thank the many tens of thousands of loyal, hardworking, honest, and paying customers whom we will continue to faithfully serve.
