Enable Drive Only On Axis Movement

    Hello everybody,

I've searched the net up and down looking for an answer but couldn't find an appropriate one anywhere so I will post my question here :

Is it possible for Mach3 to actively control an enable pin only when I move an axis...let's say in cycle start ?
The reason for this is obviously to keep the driver cool when idle.

I'm using linistepper driver to drive 5.4v & 1.5A nema23 motors and I've seen that it develops nice speeds in 20-24v range but when idle, the power transistors are "on fire" which is quite normal. But linistepper has an "low power" pin instead of enable so controlling it would bring the current down to half and also allowing to keep motors locked in position.

If mach 3 can only enable the drives when it's initialized does anyone have an idea how to control the enable pin right BEFORE I request axis movement?

Mach3 has a Hi/low current output but I don't know if this will do what you want.
