    Cincinnati falcon 200 quill retract

    This may seem like a pretty stupid question but this is my first time messing with the acramatic 2100 control on this machine and I can’t seem to figure out the routine for bringing the quill back into the retract position. Machine didn’t come with the operator manual so I’m just playing around trying to figure this control out. I pushed quill advance and it extended all the way out with the button led lit red. I pushed the quill retract button and nothing happens. Also hoping somebody could walk me through the homing procedure. First thing I did was over travel in x!

    Justintro8487, To Align the Machine You would close the Operator door so that the red key is in the switch.
    Select "Machine Setup" Depress and hold "F1" Axes Align P.B. X-axis will move up and toggle the X-Axis TPA Switch;
    then Z-axis will move right and toggle the Z-Axis TPA Switch
    Next both axis will move off; then back onto the switches to finish axis alignment;
    next the spindle will align finding its C-Axis align position.

    With the door OPEN & red-Key NOT in the Closed Switch the Quill should Advance and retract easily unless it is stuck out or not being fired in.
    Cincinnati Fives Tech Support fully supports this product and parts to my knowledge.
    You'll need a photo of the serial plate on the back electrical door when you call 859-534-4750
    the Falcon 200 Quill was epoxy moglised in the housing for alignment.
    Some oils cause it to swell over time and get tight.
    Note you may need to plug / clamp the lines and remove to unscrew the cylinder from the Quill; then hook them back up.
    With power off you could remove the cylinder in back leaving the lines hooked up to see if the cylinder works.
    Sys pressure should be 40 BAR on the front gage; The Quill and Chuck have separate pressure adjustments.
