We have a somewhat worn out bronze bushing on our sailboat.
(The upper rudder bearing)
Innerdiameter ca 60 mm and outer diameter is a bit over 80mm.
The bushing is molded into the hull and impossible to remove without damaging the deck.
I would like to linebore out the upper part of the bronze bushing to be able to insert a Delrin/PON Bushing with the correct size into the bronze bushing without removing it.
Is this possible and what tools do I need to do this in site? Preferrably with an ordinary drill or milling machine.
There is a bit of space beneath the bearing inside of the hull, so operations from both sides of the bearing is possible.
