Hi All,

I wondered if you wouldn't mind advising what are the advantages of a laser jet cutting machine over a water jet cutting machine?

I've never used a laser but I do run a Waterjet for work. I would guess there is not medium with a laser. By that I mean the dirty water and the abrasive. Water jet tends to open the cut up on the bottom of thick material and awakes out a tad on the bottom of sharp corners. We cut everything from shim stock to 7" steel with our Waterjet.

Running costs and noise are two obvious differences.
