The shop gets quite humid at times. What is the best type of protector/grease to keep square linear rails from rusting?

If in a very rusty place, have you looked into something like eezox before any grease, to help seal the metal?

You could also look at something like No2 Lithium based, it has rust and oxidation inhibitors, and is a good all round grease.
You can also get the Lithium Aerosol lube for hard to access points.
