    Doosan doturn310 sudden error :(

    Hi

when the lathe turns back to it's zero in order to change tool sometimes it fails to work and the error is for both Z and X axis " X axis servo failed "
then we turn the machine off and on the problem disappears.

    what is the matter ?

    Thanks in advance

    Jalal

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for my being late

it was axis error because of battery it's solved easily

    THANKS SO MUCH

But now i have bought another one it's turret doesn't park in correct position it has some degrees different, they say it needs grid shift,

DO you have any information on this ?

    Regards,

    Jalal

If it is Incremental Axis X or Y you can adjust P1850 "Grid shift"

If it is an absolute encoder machine, move the axis to the correct Machine 0.00 position then change P1815#4 from 1 to zero then back to 1. Power off the machine then power it up again.

If It is the turret. release the outer ring of bolts, check for dowels tap into position with a mallet then tighten bolts again. Ream the dowel hole with taper reamer then fit new dowels.

    **edit**

I see from this post http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88614
You have a Fanuc - O Control as Al said grid shift parameters of the 3rd axis are 510 but ........ the turret is not an axis and cannot be shifted electronically unless it is servo driven.

Can you explain the problem more is the turret clamping back ? is the turret one station out ? 15 degrees is a long way to be mechanically miss aligned

Turret function is all the same as other lathes , it's lock working correctly.
and the tool number is 4 numbers ahead ! it's not standing on it's original number.
and as I see before purchase they might have been machining a special part which needed to be position in that point.

Ok so the problem is that the turret number is 4 stations out

    I.E.
    T01010 = T0401(on turret)

I do not know much about this lathe... but ...

Does it have a hydraulic turret or a Servo driven turret ?
    (my guess would be hydraulic)

    YES it's hydraulic

But as i mentioned before there are 2 problems !

    1. having angle when locking
    2. station is not correct

    tnx

On the back of the turret shaft under a cover you will probably find an encoder this may have to be rotated

this may also effect the tool count

    this 15° is 1/2 a station out. I.E. a 12 st turret

I cannot find any info on the 310 hydraulic turret I have to assume it's similar to the 280
