Hope can anyone can advice how to connect 2 G540 to a single computer running Mach 3 for Auto Tool Changer Thanks in advance

You'll need a second parallel port (a PCI card, most likely..).. Have you considered using something else to control the ATC? Since the motors for the ATC are likely smaller and not subject to the same stresses (for lack of a better word..) as the machine ways, you could probably save a bit of money by using something like a C10 breakout board from CNC4PC and cheaper stepper drives. If you need all 4 drivers though, the gecko might make a bit of sense, even if it's 80 bucks more than the alternative, it's so easy to use and wire that the extra expense might be worth it.

You might try something like a Cubloc plc/microcontroller. Very inexpensive, and looks like it should be very easy to program. I'll be ordering one myself next week for a similar purpose.
