    making wood cutting CNC router

    Hi,

    Im desgning a new wood cutting cnc router. 3 axis machine for door making.

    Bed length 1500x2500
    control type: Servo

    im planning to make the machine with siemens, fagor, mitsubishi or fanuc controllers. please suggest me the best controller for wood cutting application and best software for CAM design too. not only the above mentioned controller if you know any other controller please suggest me. im looking for a cheap and best controller.

    "cheap" and "best" are somewhat mutually exclusive.

    The controllers you mentioned are much more expensive than what most people are using around here. The most popular controller around here is probably Mach 3 running on a PC.

    As far as software goes, "best" is extremely subjective and based entirely on your needs and budget. If you're doing 2-1/2D you can get away with much cheaper software than if you're doing full 5-axis work. Without more details of your goals, no one can give you good advice.

    door making

    I am running Mach3 and VCarvePro on my 50 x 98 machine. The software is suitable to your application. I assume that you are wanting to carve the door panels. I would build my doors conventionally and put them up on the router to carve the panels and frames after assembly. Until you are confident with the router you may want to do the carving before assembly.
