I have 200+ knives that I need laser engraved. The knives are 52100 hardened steel, 58hrc. I'm not sure of the capabilities of laser engraving but I need "shaw knives usa" engraved at least .01-.05" or deeper so I can coat over the engraving with a coating .004" thick and leave it visible. If this is something you are capable of doing email me at [email protected] for the .dxf files

Only USA owned, operated, and located companies will be considered.

What part of my RFQ did you not understand? I have an extreme prejudice against companies that are not located in the USA and owned and operated by Americans.

I do not trust people easily and I especially do not trust you if you are not an American company in the good 'ole USA if I am to ship you 10,000+ dollars worth of my work to you.

I especially do not trust companies located in Asia.

Harlen, I'm new to this forum, therefore I have only seen this particular thread and not the original...I am due to receive a CNC router within the next week, capable of engraving. I could give it a go if you'd like, if you haven't found anybody by then. I'm in North Dallas, Texas.

Hey man, I dont wnat to blow you out of the water or anything but a few things I want to point out.

1. Have you ever ran a cnc operation before?
2. Have you ever tried to engrave hardenend metal before 58-60hrc?
3. Do you realize that if you were to mess this job up you could cost me upward of 10,000$ in materials and around 45,000$ in sales.

If you feel that you can fulfill this job without fault I will send you 5 knives and if you do it right you have the job. I've been the little guy before and am willing to work with you if you can handle the job. If you want to attempt this job send me your quote and I'll send you the test pieces.

After reading all the post of the laser engraving i saw that all of them want to get the knowledge of the laser engraving machine....

Then you have to visit at the needham-laser at there you can get the laser machine.
