    CAM software merging toolpaths

    Hello,
I need to know if anyone has any idea which CAM software can do the following:
Create a 2d toolpath of different components each being in a separate file, then I would like to open a new file and merge whichever parts I would like with the toolpath into my new file. Of course a cheap (or free) software would be nice, but we are willing to pay. I do have mastercam v9 at this time but I have no idea if this is possible, seems as though it is not.

    Thanks,
    Joseph

I think CamBam can do what you're looking for.

Why not just use Mastercam, import the toolpath operation from the other files ( make sure you select "include the geometry" & the "tools"
    or
create your own template (speeds, feeds, tools, DOC etc already assigned), import that template, then re-select the geometry for each operation as required

the import option should be within the toolpaths tab after you have done the setup

    ( PS----ages since I worked on V9, 12 years approx.)
