    Tool Change on LB-15

Hey guys is it possible to make a tool change with turret next to the chuck in X, as of now I have too run the turret as far up in Xas it goes. I am running 4000 parts and could save time and wear and tear if I could make a tool change say an 1" away from my part. I tried using M24 which is "chuck barrier off" but no tool change from t01 t0 t02. The machine is an older lb15 with a 5020 cotroller. Thanks Tony

You need to set the user parameter soft limit down to where you need it. The early machines didn't have the interlock release m code, so you have to be on one of the soft limits X or Z.

Try to run the job without CSS as well, that will help with speed and save a lot of wear and tear on the spindle drive.
