    MeshCam question

In MeshCam I can see where I can engrave a shape into a material, but how do I cut out a shape along it's outline?

    Thanks,

    Dave

Tabs. When I create a model, I include tabs to hold the piece to the existing stock so it doesn't come loose from the clamps. When setting the stock material settings, I increase the stock size that Meshcam defaults to so that I can machine the sides of the piece.

MeshCAM won't cut the part outline. But, like Mac says, increase the stock size by at least the tool diameter and it will cut all the way through around the perimeter. I think the next version will make this easier, but it still won't cut the outline. That's just not what it does. If you want to cut flat parts by just cutting the profile, look at SheetCAM.

Can somebody, please, tell me how I can setup mm in Meshcam 2 instead of default inches?

    Thank you.

When you load a model select MM rather than inch. All parameters in dialog boxes will accept either if you follow the number with either "in" or "mm." Finally, the output is converted to in or mm based on the post processor you choose. What post do you select?
