    PIC Control Switch 4 motor

    Hi
Is it possible to have a single stepper drive that would be connectded to a PIC control switch that was connected to 4 stepper motors and the switch would send the power and signal to each motor one at a time.
Would anyone be able to build a control box for this?
    Thanks

    Hi Phil
I need to control multiple motors but not at the same time.
But to switch to motors automatic would be a program maybe for a PIC.
Any ideas on what switches I could use.
Thinking of useing bipolar nema 17 size stepper motors.
    Thanks

you could do it with a simple logic circuit as well , or with a mechanical switch

    Hi
Any ideas on how to program a PIC to do that?
What would a board configuration look like?
What type of automatic switch would be needed to be able to power the motors.
    Thanks

The easiest would be with mechanical relays, as long as you had a couple hundred milliseconds to do it. 4 simple 4 pole single throw relays. The relays would be controlled by the micro.

I need a little more to go on as to your abilities to program. Usually for a novice, something like a basic stamp (http://www.parallax.com/) is the easiest.

Interesting ideas would have to be proved but this is beyond my capabilities to do so.
I suppose that if someone was challenged then i would be interested in having that board.
    Thanks

The basic stamp is great. I use it in some of my projects.
