Exclamation 2.2kW spindle and voltage converter

I purchased 2.2kW spindle. Since it runs on 220V I purchased a 110V to 220V voltage converter that have 1000W. Is this converter big enough for my spindle? Also what wire size should I run from the voltage converter plug to the VFD? I will install 3 pin plug in my enclosure where I will plug the converter outlet and connect VFD to this outlet inside the enclosure. That is why I'm asking what wire size do I need.
    Thank You

1 Kw to run a 2.2 Kw spindle will only work if it only ever does very light cuts. Really need about 3Kw
You should use proper VFD cable that is screened so if you want to put a plug in the line it would need to be 4 pin.
Each core about 1.5 mm. VFD cable is finely stranded so that it is flexible, need that for the constant moving it will experience.
    THis is the right cable

I used 16 gauge wire from my vfd to the spindle.
This is the exact cable I used

Are you sure you can't run 240v to the vfd?

I would but this will be a lot of work. My house is a split level house and the garage is attached to it. Will be heck of a job for the electrician to run new line from basement through the whole house and then to garage. Cheaper for me to just use the voltage converter.

You would/could run to your garage a line direct from your outside service, you 1Kw is not going to run your spindle, & then if you do use 120v single phase outlet, it will not have enough amps to drive it, you will over heat the wires in the house supply/outlet, you need the 240v supply then you will have 2-20amp breakers, for you garage circuit

Your 15amp circuit at 120v is good for a max of 1800watts, you should only use 80% of this amount to be safe= 1440 watts for safe use, your 2.2Kw spindle will be damaged if it is not powered correctly
