Hello everyone,
our mill machine is a HAAS TM-1. We replaced the battery about one month after the alarm LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE initially appeared. Since then, at powering up the alarm is gone BUT we cannot navigate through the control. Screen is frozen.
Searching through the Haas Electrical Service Manual (https://diy.haascnc.com/sites/defaul...df?0=%253F2123) we found out that our BBU-RAM is possibly corrupted and we have to clear it in order to unfreeze control. The steps to do this are written in the manual as follows (page 30-31):
Here is the part where we need help:Clearing the BBU-RAM
1. Type in "M3000D6C 300FFFF" and press Enter. The control responds with “Memory Test Passed” written several times. The command “M3000D6C” checks and clears just a portion of the BBU-RAM. It avoids the section that contains the serial number of the machine (Setting 26). Most problems can be solved without removing the serial number.
2. ...
In the photos attached you can see the Main Processor Memory Map of our HAAS TM-1. As you see, memory address for BBU-RAM is $0600_0000 - $07ff_ffff.
I would like to ask IF we need to modify command "M3000D6C 300FFFF" provided in the Haas Electrical Service Manual to what is suitable for our machine's BBU-RAM address, in order to clear the BBU_RAM portion that does not erase machine's serial number.
Any help on how to do this would be appreciated, given that we work in a university lab and we have no money for a service tech.
Thank you in advance
George
