    No communication?

    Hello CNC Zone, I am a brand new user and am searching for some help in making the mill talk to the computer. I am using a vertical machining center 15 made in 1994 by Fadal I'm guessing. My boss said he has been using a program called terminal to send and receive files, and for some reason I cant seem to figure out how it works. I have read and tried everything in the manuals. Is there an issue with the computer or program?

    Your boss could probably show you how to check the settings such as baud rate, handshaking, and a few others on the machine and computer program to make sure they are the same. A call to Fadal or whoever makes the terminal program may yield some info as well. Good luck.
