1984 MV45/40 has been run without the tool changer for years.

Tried to do an M6 and the arm stopped about 10 degrees rotation before the spindle.
A soft bump with a plastic mallet made it go the rest of the way and complete the move.

I thought it might just be sticking from sitting so long and made a program with 10 M6 commands.

Now it completes the motion every other cycle, (exactly every other cycle), and the when it sticks, I can easily push it to completion by hand.

I am wondering if it might need to be bled or maybe a seal is leaking or maybe something with the cushions at the end of the hydraulic.
The sound is similar to a pneumatic cylinder even though it is hydraulic, makes me wonder if there is air in the system.

I have not taken anything apart yet but the drawings in the manual show hydraulic two racks in an integrated design (no external cylinder).

If anyone has any ideas about this. please let em know.
