New to site and laser cnc

I'm looking at getting my first laser cnc machine.

I am completely new to this and have know idea were to start. I want a machine that will I upgrade as my skills and work load increases. I would like to be able to cut everything from paper to metal.

I have been doing some research and am overwhelmed by everything out there. I have a shop to put the machine but don't want to spend thousands of dollars to get started I know it's going to cost some amount to get started.

I'm new to cnc also but have some clients wanting cut out pieces added to the metal work I do for them so instead of relying on others I would like to do it myself.
