    SPINDLE SPEED #4119

    Hello guys

    Is there any different variable to get the real turning speed of the spindle ?

    When I have tried to get the real turning speed by #4119 If I have programed some value using the "S" constant the value that I have got in this variable #4119 It is not the real turning speed.
    Thanks in advance

    It only gives the value specified with S-word.
    If using CSS, knowing the RPM is not very meaningful, as it continuously varies.
    If still you need to know the RPM at a certain X, you would have to calculate it, based on CSS and X.

    HI Shina

    I could not answer before

    How can I to get the CSS value?

    As you have said the #4119 only give the S-word and I need to get an approximate value of the spindle speed.

    Thanks for your answer Shina

    Re: SPINDLE SPEED #4119

    Approx formulas:
    rpm = 300 * V / D in metric. V in m/min and D in mm.
    rpm = 4 * V / D in imperial. V in feet/min and D in inches.

    V is the specified CSS and D is the X value where you want to calculate the rpm.
