    Bridgeport VMC2216 repair

    Hi all,

    My Bridgeport VMC2216 has a lot of trouble shifting into high gear. We can sometimes get it to work after warming up in low gear for a couple hours. There is only one Bridgeport repair company that I could find in the NJ area. They've been to our shop a few times before and diagnosed this as a defective air shifter. This company is extremely difficult to work with though and I have been trying to get a repair quote for over 3 months now.

    Does anyone know of anybody around NJ (NY, PA, CT) that works on these machines? Or does anyone have any experience changing the air shifter? Thanks in advance.

    you can get a air cylinder for the gear shifter and replace it. see what happens then.
