    Red face 4 AXIS MASTERCAM

    Hi Everybody,
I attached the 4 rotary axis on my CNC router. Before, on the 3 axis system was easy but now I have some problems.
I'm trying to do a test part to be able to learn new skills. I will attach a picture with my part model.
Doing the finish cut in Mastercam is easy using Rotary 4ax. The problem I am having is I don't see a multiaxis roughing routine and I need to to remove as much stock as I can using a end mil before doing the finish with a ball nose.
Which is the better way to that?
    Thank you!

Then I suggest making a stock model of your stock and use the optirough option and tell it use the Stock model to rough against. you will need to set up a few planes and copy and past and change planes. place to start.

I will try Optirough, also I have some result with Rotary option using Axial cut and leave 15mm stock at the first pass.

you can do that and then copy for a finish. but remember constant rotary is always going to run slower compared to leaner cuts so on the roughing I will do indexing in most case to rough faster.

Now if you do 5axis Parallel cuts you can rough it and finish this all on the 4th. it has rough cut options.

I will try this options for sure. They have a lot of values to set but I'm patient. I will post if I have new results.
    Thank you for your help.
