If you had to buy another laser cutter what Manufacturer would you purchase knowing what you know now. I have a small job type shop and exploring the option of alleviating a lot of the steel (up to 0.5" usually) cutting from my waterjets to a 2D laser cutter or just buy a third waterjet. We arent production by any means so quantities of 100 are a lot for us. So i'm looking at various manufacturings "intro" models but being new to this I am asking the opinion of non-sales ppl in the know.
Things important to me:
1. User friendly controller that requires minimal computer skills.
2. Reliability (last thing I need is to be dedicating time to keeping the machine going)
3. Maintenance Friendly with minimal operating costs
I appreciate your help and opinions. BTW, companies i've contacted: Bystronic, Mitsubishi, Cincinnati, Mazak, Trumpf, StripIt, NTC
